Part 1: Transfer Music from iPhone/iPad/iPod to Computer

As we decribed above, TunsGo supports a wide range of different iOS devices. The process is almost the same, no matter what type of it is. So in the following example, I will use iPhone as an example. This also applies to iPad and iPod and the steps are the same as the following tutorial.

 

Step 1 Download and Install TunesGo

Please download and install TunesGo first. This program works on both Windows and Mac OS X. After installation, open the program from the desktop shortcuts and a home screen like below will appear.

 

 

Step 2 Connect iOS Device to Computer

Next you need to connect your iOS device ( iPhone, iPad or iPod) to your computer and for this, take the cable and connect one end to the device and other to the USB port of PC or MAC. Once the device is connected a screen like below will appear.

 

 

Step 3 Select Music You Want to Transfer

Now you need to look for the songs and tracks present in your iOS device for which move to the option of "Music" which is presented on the left side of the TunesGo home page. Now from the given list, select the songs which you wish to transfer to your PC or MAC.



Step 4 Export Selected Muisc to Computer

Now on the top bar of the TunesGo home page go to option of "Export To". Now you need to select the folder on your PC or MAC where you want the songs to be saved. The selected songs can be transferred using the option of "Export to my computer" or " Export to Mac" which even applicable. With this, the selected songs will appear in the local folder you have selected previously.



Part 2: Move Music Library from iTunes to Android Phone/Tablet

Step 1 Install and Open TunesGo

Please download and install TunesGo first. This program works on both Windows and Mac OS X. After installation, open the program from the desktop shortcuts and a home screen like below will appear.

 

 

Step 2 Connect Your Android Device to the Computer

Connect your Android phone to your PC. One end of cable is to be connected to USB port of PC and the other end to the Android device. The device will appear under the "Device" option on left side menu of TunesGo home page. (Screen shot shows SamsungGT-I9300 as connected device)

 


Step 3 Select Songs in iTunes Music Library

Click on "Music" option present below "iTunes library" on left side menu that will open the list of songs present. Select the songs that you want to be transferred to target device (Screen shot shows 2 selected songs)

 

 

Step 4 Export Selected Songs to Android

On top most menu, click on “Export To” function, which will open the list of available devices. From the list, select the device to which you want to transfer the music. The selected songs will appear under the "Music" folder on that Android device.

 


Part 3: Transfer iTunes Library to A New Computer

Step 1 Install and Open TuesGo on the Computer with iTunes Library

Please download and install TunesGo on the computer, which has the iTunes library. This program works on both Windows and Mac OS X. After installation, open the program from the desktop shortcuts. A home screen as given below will appear.

 

Step 2 Select Songs in That iTunes Library

Now go to "Music" option under "iTunes library" on left sidebar , then it shows the list of available songs. From the given list, select the songs that you want to transfer to your PC/Mac. Go to the top menu of TunesGo and click on "Export To" option that will show the list of available devices and from here select your PC or Mac. Screen show shows selected option as "Export to my computer".

 

 

Step 3 Select A Local Folder to Store Exported Songs

Select the folder on your PC or Mac where you want the song to be transferred (in screenshot select "My Music" as the exported folder). After you have selected the destination folder, the songs will be transferred to that folder in a few minutes.

 

 

Step 4 Copy Exported Music Library to The New Computer

Find the foldler which stores the exported music. Then copy it to another computer via USB or cloud service. If you still use iTunes it on the new computer, then you can import the music to iTunes by using TunesGo again.

 

Part 4: Delete Duplicated Songs in iTunes

Step 1 Open TuesGo on the Computer

Please download and install TunesGo on the computer, which has the iTunes library. This program works on both Windows and Mac OS X. After installation, open the program from the desktop shortcuts. A home screen as given below will appear.

 

Step 2 Select Music under iTunes Library

Next you need to find the available tracks in present in your iTunes Library and for this the option of "Music" presented under iTunes Library on left hand side menu of your TunesGo needs to be clicked.

 

 

Step 3 Clean up iTunes Music

On the top menu bar of TunesGo, select "Clean Up" option that will open a drop down menu from which "Delete Duplicate Songs" needs to be selected.

 

 

You will have a list and number of duplicate songs present in your library. The list of duplicates can be selected on the basis of various criteria like name, artists, album, genre, size. In order to remove the duplicate click on the option of "Delete Duplicates" presented on right hand side.
